Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Web Developer to become a part of a fast-moving dynamic digital marketing team. You will be the primary player in the programming and development of the company’s websites, web applications and digital solutions. Our ideal Web Developer is passionate for designing and coding beautiful, user-friendly web- and mobile-based applications.

What you’ll do:

You will define front-end framework(s), UX/UI style guides, and user flows to drive efficiency and consistency. Working closely with our project managers, stakeholders, design team members and end users, you will develop specifications and be a primary decision maker for our websites, infrastructure and web applications while upholding a consistent voice, tone, feel and look for the company and its brands.  Your diverse skill set will assist with UX testing, programming, development and advise on database administration.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in technology/computer science, certification or equivalent experience is required.
  • 2 years of experience in web design and development.
  • Experience with HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript and PHP.
  • Experience with development on a LAMP stack.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, or AngularJS and working with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with responsive design development and BootStrap.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Strong knowledge of design tools (Sketch, Adobe CC).
  • UX and visual design portfolio (candidates without a portfolio will not be considered).
  • Experience with Amazon AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, RDS, and the AWS admin).
  • Ability to troubleshoot legacy code, and cross browser compatibility issues.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple projects and manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Java a plus.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Additionally, this role will require a small amount of lifting and carrying.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area travel may be expected.
